Austrian History – Mauthausen 2024

Mauthausen was a massive concentration camp in Nazi Germany and operated from August 1938 to May 1945, when it was liberated by the Allies. In total, around 190,000 people were imprisoned in the Mauthausen concentration camp and its subcamps over seven years, and at least 90,000 of them died.

Schedule:
First, we will join a guided tour through the whole complex and will learn about important historical facts that should never be forgotten.
After the guided tour, we take the bus back to Linz and a typical Austrian lunch awaits us at the KHG, where we round off the day with plenty of time for discussion and reflection. 

Participants only pay a small contribution of € 5 for the entire day (including bus transfers, tickets, and snacks). The fee will be collected in cash on the day of the excursion. 
As this excursion requires a good deal of advanced planning and organization, if you have signed up and must cancel, you must inform us by no later than May 15!
